Privacy policy

How MORT collects, uses, protects, retains, and deletes information.

Current limits: MORT is a 13+ local-work coordination service with account eligibility restrictions. It does not guarantee identity, safety, jobs, or payment; it does not process real-world job payments; and identity verification is not currently available.

Scope

This policy covers the MORT app, hosted Supabase backend, and public support pages. Accounts are restricted to people age 13 or older.

Signing in

Accounts can be created and accessed with an email and password, or with Google Sign-In. Choosing Google Sign-In shares your Google account email and basic profile information with MORT through Google's and Supabase's authentication systems; MORT does not receive your Google password.

Information handled

Disabled collection

Government-ID images, face templates, and provider identity verification are not currently collected. Optional digital-purchase availability is shown in the app and is separate from job payment.

Advertising

MORT may display advertising, including an optional rewarded-ad cosmetic feature, on eligible non-sensitive screens only. Ads never appear on, and never gate access to, safety tools, incident reporting, Guardian approval, identity or work-proof evidence, messages, support conversations, payment preferences, PIN verification, job completion, or legal information -- these stay ad-free by server-enforced rule, not app design alone. Ad requests do not include a Teen's precise location, a job site's private location, message content, report content, identity or proof evidence, Guardian data, Safety Center data, or Support conversation content. Every Teen account is served non-personalized ads regardless of any other setting. The optional rewarded-ad feature ("MORT Spark") may grant a temporary, purely cosmetic profile accent with no effect on jobs, Quick Accept, the leaderboard, safety, moderation, or marketplace eligibility; the reward is granted only after an ad is watched to completion, never on tap. Google's own privacy disclosures describe how it processes ad-serving data.

Use and sharing

Data is used for authentication, account eligibility, job workflows, safety, moderation, support, security, legal compliance, and eligible non-sensitive advertising as described above. Supabase provides hosted infrastructure and Google serves advertising on eligible screens under the restrictions above. MORT does not sell personal information.

Retention and deletion

Ordinary account data is removed through the deletion workflow. Narrow safety, fraud, dispute, audit, evidence-preservation, and legal records may be retained with restricted access when legitimately necessary. See account deletion.

Teen privacy

A minor's exact birth date, exact age, school, housing status, residential address, private messages, and precise live location are not public participant-directory fields.
